Local companies promote 'be kind' message and mental health awareness
A Douglas hair and beauty salon has announced they have decided to stop stocking gossip magazines.
In a post on Facebook, Salon 3 says it, and other salons, are boycotting tabloids following the death of TV presenter Caroline Flack.
Instead, it will stock magazines that promote 'positive messages', and are adapting a 'Reading Corner' for clients to donate to.
It adds - the Salon typically works with a single charity each year, but this time they've chosen two; Reach, and Craig's Heart Strong Foundation.
