DoI says the area is to be used like 'any other roundabout'
The Department of Infrastructure says drivers don't need to worry about the newly completed roundel on Douglas promenade.
Three white ovals have been painted at the bottom of Broadway, to be used the same way as any other roundabout.
The design has split opinion on social media after images of the area were shared over the weekend.
The DoI says there's to be another roundel at Church Road Marina, and they are also set to act as a 'form of traffic calming' within the 20mph speed limit.
Originally plans included block paving for the areas, but this was taken out so the scheme could finish on time.
Broadway has reopened today for northbound traffic with the junction due to be fully operational from 15 July.
