2021 a big year for the language
'Learn Manx' is holding a drop-in session this morning (Sat 18), to share ideas and debate about what should be the priorities for the Manx language in the future.
All are welcome to contribute their thoughts, in a discussion which will help inform a business case being put together by Jeebin - the Manx Language Network - ahead of a 'year of the Manx language' in 2021.
Plans are in place to celebrate the Island's native tongue next year, to "highlight the importance of Manx to our Island nation," the organisation says, marking the end of a five-year strategy from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
The drop-in session is being held at the Methodist Hall in St John's between 11am and midday.
