Health alert after drug mix link to UK deaths
The Minister for Health and Social Care wants a cross-government debate on a lethal drugs mix linked to eight deaths in the UK.
Kate Beecroft will speak to her management team about forwarding the issue to the Social Policy and Children's Committee today (Fri).
Public Health issued a warning after colleagues in Greater Manchester voiced concerns a cocktail of SPICE and crystal MDMA is in circulation on Island.
It's connected to several hospital admissions in the UK - with users suffering severe or fatal toxicity.
Mrs Beecroft says government needs to tackle it with a collaborative approach:
'Investigative process' launched after 'serious incident' involving spectators
No further TT activity following red flag incident
Road closed between The Hope and Higher Foxdale
Practice session suspended following 'serious incident' in Ramsey
