Business feels quarter option isn't offering 'good value'
A local Chinese takeaway says it’s struggling to source the right size ducks.
Lucky House, in Douglas, has temporarily stopped serving its crispy aromatic quarter duck as a result.
It’s after a drop in the size of the birds it’s been receiving over the past few months which the business says are ‘consistently smaller than before’.
Lucky House is now trying to find an alternative supplier that can provide ducks of a size the business is happy with.
It says rather than selling a smaller quarter duck at the same price it would rather stop serving the menu option because it doesn’t represent good value.
Half and whole duck is still being sold but at a reduced price.
