Road will be closed to traffic until April 2019
Regeneration works on one of the main retail streets in Douglas will get underway next Monday (15th Oct).
It was suggested earlier that the work began today (Mon 8) - but online government road watch information suggesting this was the case, hadn't been correctly updated.
When work begins next week, Duke Street will be closed to traffic from Lord Street to Victoria Street until April next year while the work in undertaken.
It follows on from the £1.4m scheme on Castle Street, which has seen new paving, lighting and street furniture installed.
King Street will also be shut from Duke Street to Water Lane throughout the project, but the Department of Infrastructure says access will be maintained to properties.
