This week, the Department of Economic Development unveiled a new report from UK consultants into the Island’s hotel industry.
And high on the list of gripes from businesses was the lack of staff – hoteliers say Manx workers won’t do the jobs, but they can’t recruit from off-Island because of work permit rules.
Andrew Keeling of Hotel Solutions, who carried out the research, says the government needs to step in.
