Braddan and Garff form new group
Two local authorities in the east of the Island are joining forces to improve their public sector housing offer.
Braddan and Garff commissioners have formed an Eastern Area Housing Group, with the Department of Infrastructure.
The move could see a combined waiting list drawn-up covering both areas - offering applicants a wider choice of types of housing and location.
Letters will be sent to all those current waiting lists, explaining the change.
The fledgling eastern housing group says it wants to introduce a 'more consistent' approach to allocating council homes.
Regional housing groups have already been set up in the south and west of the Island.
