Proposed increase to five year term
Members of an advisory body to the Department of Education and Children could soon get longer terms in office.
In Tynwald this month, Minister Tim Crookall will move Education Council (Amendment) Order to change the rules.
It would mean those elected to the Education Council would serve for five years rather than three.
The council was born out of the ashes of the Board of Education, which was dismantled in 2009.
