Resus teams teach CPR at Ramsey Grammar and in Douglas
Education is key to helping more people survive cardiac arrests, according to local resuscitation officer Paul Ellis.
Today is national 'Restart a Heart Day', an annual event created to boost awareness of cardiac arrest and CPR.
In light of the occasion, Paul and a team of health professionals are at Ramsey Grammar giving students the opportunity to try CPR and use a defibrillator.
Paul believes this should be a compulsory part of student's curriculum:
Manx Radio will be broadcasting live from Ramsey Town Hall with the team on Late Lunch today (1pm-3pm).
The resuscitation team will also be at the Sea Terminal and Strand Shopping Centre tomorrow (Sat 17) giving people the opportunity to learn how to perform CPR on a dummy.
