David Ashford says a review of the Manx voting system is needed
A debate is needed about the electoral registration system - that's the view of Douglas Councillor David Ashford.
He was speaking after contesting the Douglas North by-election where he failed by 50 votes to become the new MHK for the constituency.
More than 12,000 people were taken off the voters' list Island-wide and around 800 in Douglas North alone.
And Mr Ashford says this is something that needs to be examined:
Important historic site vandalised
Graffiti sprayed across Hango Hill near Castletown
Police respond to social media post alleging sexual assault by serving officer
Anonymous poster claims 'police have refused to investigate'
Defibrillator unveiled at Peel Fire Station
Money raised at open day went towards life-saving device
Deemster sets out plan for insurance claim retrial
The previous judge resigned without issuing verdict
