Seven questions for answer before members return to Gambling Legislation Bill

Keys members return to familiar ground in their session today (Tuesday, 3 February) as some 30 clauses of the Gambling Legislation Bill still need to be heard.

The recently appointed Treasury Minister Chris Thomas is asking to be allowed to take on the responsibility for guiding that through.

Meanwhile, the lengthy Justice and Home Affairs (Reform and Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill 2025 is starting its clauses run.

Starting off today's session, there are a modest seven questions to be answered.

Once again Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse takes the majority of those.

His inquiries range from charging electric cars to care for those suffering from dementia.

He also wants to know how many reception aged children were not potty trained.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge asks whether war pensions are disregarded by Manx Care when assessing liability for health and care charges.

There's another Keys session next week before the Budget debate in Tynwald on 17 February.
