CM responds to concern from East Douglas MHK
There are legitimate questions an employer can ask about a job applicant's health.
So says Chief Minister Howard Quayle.
He was responding to claims from East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw who has expressed concerns about a proposed clause in the Equality Bill.
It would prevent employers from asking job applicants questions about their state of health - something Mr Robertshaw believes could lead to legal action against local business owners.
However, Mr Quayle claims there's enough content in the Bill to support both employers and applicants
