Energy company CEO hits back at 'misinformation'

Claims extracting Manx natural gas would reduce carbon footprint

Extracting natural gas from the Manx seabed would actually decrease the Isle of Man's carbon footprint.

That's from local energy company Crogga which wants to do just that – it claims there is £10 billion worth which could be recovered.

Chief executive Diccen Sargent has accused politicians of spreading 'misinformation' after the chair of the Climate Change Transformation Board, Daphne Caine, said it was a 'no-no'.
