MHK believes scheme doesn't offer enough support
More needs to be done to help Manx residents improve energy efficiency in their homes.
That's the view of Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper, who will ask questions about the government's Energy Efficiency Scheme at next week's sitting of the House of Keys.
Financial support is offered to those earning less than £29,000 a year for loft insulation, LED bulbs and other energy-saving products, but few have taken advantage of the scheme so far.
Mr Hooper believes it's still too expensive for many to make the changes:
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
Douglas council seeking sites for future housing development
Yellow alert for heavy rain issued, replacing previous warning
Most Manx students studying in northern universities
