Enterprise schemes pay out £11.2m to create jobs

Almost 1,000 new jobs established

Two government schemes have provided more than £11m to help create 968 jobs over the last three years.

The Department for Enterprise's Financial Assistance Scheme has paid out just over £10.1m since 2016 to support 747 jobs.

The Micro Business Grant Scheme, which supports small businesses, has created 221 posts after awarding £1.1m over the last three financial years.

The figures were revealed in response to a written question at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
