It sees those who take part walk from Douglas to Peel via the Heritage Trail.

There's also an alternative shorter route available which starts in St Johns.

The event starts with a lap of the outside track at the NSC before heading onto the Heritage Trail and finishing outside the House of Manannan in Peel.

The main walk is around 12 miles long and starts at 1.30pm on the day with check-in from 12pm.

Meanwhile the shorter three-mile route will get underway in St Johns from around 3.30pm with check-in opening at 2.45pm.

Last year's occasion broke records with over 600 people taking part with more than £8,000 raised for Sight Matters.

Entries for the walk are open until Tuesday, 31 August and will be £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s.

Registration and sponsorships forms can be found online HERE.

Alternatively, paper copies can be collected at Sight Matter's headquarters at Corrin Court in Onchan or at The VIP Store in Strand Street, Douglas.
