Settlement scheme still in operation during transition period
With the start of the Brexit process looming, EU nationals in the Isle of Man are being encouraged to make sure they apply for settled status if they want to remain here.
The United Kingdom officially leaves the European Union at 11pm on Friday - the transition period then lasts until the end of the year.
It means there are no immediate changes, but the countdown will very much have begun.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle says people from EU member states can still apply after Friday:
New Year Honours for six Isle of Man residents
Island enjoyed 'reasonable' summer despite no record-breaking temperatures
Head of Ambulance Service 'really privileged' to receive New Year Honour
Chief Fire Officer 'overwhelmed' after receiving New Year Honour
