A petition to allow Crown Dependencies a vote in the upcoming EU membership referendum has passed 1,000 signatures.

Actor and Island resident John Rhys-Davies launched the campaign at the start of this month - but it requires 10,000 signatures to garner a government response.

UK prime minister David Cameron announced at the weekend a referendum will take place on June 23rd.
