52 year old pleaded guilty over missing pensions
The former owner of Norton motorcycles has been given a suspended sentence at Derby Crown Court after pleading guilty to illegally investing pension scheme money in his struggling business.
Stuart James Garner, of Park Lane, Castle Donington was sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for two years for each of three counts of breaching employer-related investment rules.
The 52-year-old was responsible for bringing the British manufacturer back to the Isle of Man to race in the TT in recent years.
The court also disqualified him from acting as a company director for three years and was ordered to pay costs of just over £20,000 to the Pensions Regulator.
