Extra precautions at Creg-ny-Baa

Motorists told to ignore Sat Navs

Motorists are being warned not to be caught out by restrictions on the TT course.

A one-way system is in place on the Mountain Road throughout the fortnight, with traffic flow limited in a southbound direction from Ramsey only.

But things become slightly more complex at the Creg-ny-Baa, where the road becomes two-way again.

Police hope the presence of extra signs, cones and traffic lights will prevent accidents - but there's concern it could still cause confusion.

They've told visitors to ignore Satellite Navigation instructions.

A 'walkthrough' video explaining the arrangement in English, French and German has been posted online.
