Extraordinary sitting of Tynwald will go ahead

Tynwald members will meet 8 October

Tynwald Members have agreed to an extraordinary sitting of the court.

The need for the meeting has been prompted by the UK, who has advised the Isle of Man must have third country listing if it wishes to continue exporting certain products. 
 
A meeting of the EU Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed is due to take place on 11 October, which is prior to the scheduled October sitting of Tynwald.

Isle of Man legislation needs to have completed the parliamentary process in Tynwald, ahead of this meeting.
