Officer says efforts ongoing to entice more into taking part
The FA Women's Development Officer says she's working to make a more even playing field in the Women's Summer League.
Played from the beginning of July to the end of August, businesses register as teams with new and experienced players taking part.
However, in the past players register through the clubs they're part of, creating a parity in the tournament.
Jamylea Ferns says it can lead to newcomers unwilling to give it a go:
Registrations close on Friday 20 June and cost £160 per team.
Each team must have a minimum of eight players and fixtures will run every Thursday 6pm at The Bowl from 10 July - 21 August.
