Minister signals cost of modern criminal activity
The Home Affairs Minister has admitted the type of crime the Isle of Man Constabulary deals with is changing.
He was responding to a Tynwald question from North Douglas member David Ashford about police cuts.
Mr Malarkey says whilst he would love to see spending on the police force increased, no decisions have been made yet about departmental budgets.
He said he'd strive to make sure funds were made available to help tackle modern day crime.
