Family thanks medics as first Covid-19 hospital patient leaves ICU

Noble's staff praised for 'hard work and amazing dedication'

The family of the first patient to be admitted to Noble's Hospital with coronavirus is thanking the medical staff after she left intensive care.

Sharon Burgess was admitted to hospital in March, and was later transferred to intensive care.

Her daughter posted a video of the moment she left ICU on social media, showing staff clapping as she headed to a ward.

The post also praised the team's 'hard work and amazing dedication'.

⭐⭐ PLEASE SHARE ⭐⭐ With all the sad news surrounding Covid-19, we thought we'd share a little positivity. This is our mum Sharon, the first patient to be admitted to hospital, the first patient to be transferred to ICU, and now after what feels like an eternity, the first patient to be clapped out of ICU and on to a ward 💕 Words can not describe how truly grateful we are to the staff at Nobles Hospital's ICU and the rest of the NHS team. Their hard work and the amazing dedication and care that they've given, has kept our family in tact. Thank you 🌈💕 #besafe #covid19 #thinkingofthelost #familyforever #noblesiom
