Landmark to be demolished
A familiar landmark on Lord Street is set to be demolished next year, after serving as the Salvation Army's home for 85 years.
A symbolical farewell will take place with a service at the Citadel this Sunday (12 Nov) from 10:30am, when the building's doors will be closed for the final time.
The Salvation Army will temporarily relocate to Fairfield school, and continue to offer its range of community services, whilst it's new home is built on the same site.
