A study highlights poor mental health across the agricultural sector presents increasing worries
Farmers on the Isle of Man are being encouraged to ask for help with loneliness and mental health issues that may arise while at work.
It's as the Farm Safety Foundation launches its 'Yellow Wellies Mind Your Head' campaign which focuses on tackling wellbeing issues in the agricultural sector.
Research by the organisation revealed that 95 percent of farmers under 40 believe mental health is the 'biggest hidden problem' facing farmers today.
Manx Radio's farming correspondent Kirree Kermode says more and more people are speaking out about issues they're facing.
She says whilst it can be an amazing industry to work in, it can also be very lonely and tiring:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
