FBI agents among speakers at Isle of Man Financial Crime Conference

Event focusing on major investigations, emerging threats and MONEYVAL review

FBI agents will join leading international experts at the 2025 Isle of Man Countering Financial Crime Conference next month.

The event is set to take place at the Villa Marina on Wednesday, 3 September, and will feature a case study from FBI financial crime specialists on an investigation that led to a Florida insurance executive pleading guilty in a $2 billion fraud and money laundering scheme.

The conference will be opened by Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and will cover topics including the disruption of organised crime gangs, criminal abuse of virtual assets, and anti-money laundering enforcement in the UK art market.

The Island’s upcoming 2026 MONEYVAL evaluation will also be a key focus, with delegates able to put questions to a panel of experts.

Organised by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority with support from multiple agencies, the £60 ticketed event includes a full day of presentations, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities.

It forms part of a wider programme to strengthen the Island’s financial defences through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
