Feedback sought on summer holiday meal voucher scheme

Government says feedback will determine future policies

Parents and carers of children who received school meal vouchers over the Summer holidays are being asked to give their feedback on the new scheme.

Introduced in April to help provide meals for children when schools were closed, the scheme was extended by six weeks in July to cover the break between academic years.

Government says the feedback will be used to shape its future policies.

Those eligable receive a fortnightly voucher, equivalent in value to 10 free school meals.

Alongside this week's vouchers, recipients will find a survey, to be completed and returned anonymously.

Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson says ‘feedback is valued and will help us better understand the pressures parents and carers are experiencing when schools close'.

Deadline for submitting the survey, which can also be found at gov.im, is Monday 7 September.
