Fence cut and signs removed at plantation

Harvesting work delayed due to damage

Fencing and signs at one of the Island's plantations have been deliberately cut or removed.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says it's commenced harvesting work at Cringle Plantation, but an area fenced off has been damaged.

The harvesting contractor can't work in an unsecured site, so the damage will result in the work being delayed.

DEFA is asking visitors to the plantation not to enter work areas and follow all safety signage and diversions.
