Steam Packet brings forward series of November Merseyside crossings
The Steam Packet has announced some changes to its weekend sailing schedule to Liverpool next month.
Due to tidal and operational issues, the ferry operator says the Ben-my-Chree's Saturday evening sailings on 7, 14, 21, and 28 November will be brought forward.
Instead of 7pm, the Ben-my-Chree will now depart from Liverpool at 1:30pm.
The Steam Packet says, unfortunately, those changes will result in the sailings no longer being suitable for passengers booked on day trips to Liverpool on these dates.
Those affected will be contacted directly by the company's Reservations Team and assisted with alternative arrangements.
If no suitable alternative is available, passengers will be offered a refund.
Meanwhile, Manxman is now in dry dock at Balaena Birkenhead, where her two propulsion shafts, liners and bearings, repaired in Denmark, are being refitted.
The Steam Packet says: "Once reassembly is complete, Manxman will undertake sea trials before a targeted return to service no later than the end of November if not sooner."
