Deadline day for submissions
Those with views on proposals to re-develop Glen Truan golf course have a final chance to lodge any comments today (6 Oct).
Plans have been submitted by businessman John Morphet for fifty-five holiday and residential homes to be built in the area, nearby to the Ayres nature reserve.
Bride residents have attended two meetings in the past week to debate the potential impact of the development.
Those in favour of the plans say it will revitalise the parish, those against worry about the affect on the environment, increased traffic and setting an Island-wide precedent for holiday homes.
Officials at the Planning Office say although today (6 Oct) is the official deadline, comments may continue to be submitted for some time on what's proving a controversial plan.
