Incident happened near Fairy Bridge last night
One person was trapped and had to be freed by fire crews following a collision at Fairy Bridge last night.
Shortly after 7pm, the emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash, where an individual had been unable to free themselves from the vehicle due to injuries.
Officers worked to stabilise the vehicle before using cutting equipment to remove the roof, allowing them to safely extricate the person to be transferred to an ambulance.
The road reopened just before 11.30pm.
