DDA comes into force on 15 December
How can businesses get ready for the Disabilities Discrimination Act?
That’s the question addressed by chairman of the Equal Access Award Scheme Caren Pegg – she says government’s guidance document is merely a starting point.
The Act will come into force on 15 December, when it becomes unlawful for providers to discriminate in the delivery of goods, facilities and services.
Owners are asked to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ before the final phase is rolled out in January 2020.
