Biosphere-friendly activities on offer for visitors
The first of almost 60 cruise ships booked to visit the Island this year will arrive in Douglas this morning (26 March).
Hurtigruten Expeditions' 'Spitsbergen' will have around 180 passengers on board.
Cruise passengers are offered almost 30 different itineraries when they arrive on Manx shores - eight of which include biosphere-friendly activities like beach cleaning.
Ranald Caldwell, from Visit Isle of Man, says the sector is pushing to lower its impact on the environment:
