First Douglas fireworks show since the pandemic

The display will start at 7pm on Friday

Douglas Council is holding its first fireworks show tonight (Friday) since 2019.

The display will take place over the bay, at 7.15pm.

There is also a 'best guy' competition for people to enter with the winner receiving £100 and second and third place receiving £50 and £25 respectively.

Despite concerns over a cost-of-living crisis the Mayor of Douglas said the fireworks are 'a good use of council's money.'

Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper spoke to Janet Thommeny:

For residents who have animals, there'll be pet friendly music played on Manx Radio's 1368 frequency from 6pm to 10pm.
