Douglas and Castletown first to be converted
The first Shoprite stores to be refitted following the company's sale to Tesco have been confirmed.
The UK retail giant has vowed to convert the nine former Shoprite stores into five Superstores and four Express stores throughout 2024.
We now know the Douglas and Castletown locations will be the first to close and will cease trading at 9pm on Saturday 6 January to enable the change.
A date for reopening is still to be confirmed.
