Flags raised on the Island today

It's for the proclamation of the King

Flags around the Isle of Man have been raised to full mast.

It's in honour of the proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III, Lord of Mann.

The formal proceedings for him to become King got underway with a ceremony at the Accession Council this morning.

It has been televised for the first time in history.

His Majesty King Charles III will be proclaimed as Lord of Mann at Government House at midday on Sunday.

After this, flags around the Island should return to half-mast.
