Flights cancelled due to adverse weather

Island being hit by gale to severe gale force winds

Flights in and out of the Isle of Man have been cancelled this afternoon due to adverse weather.

The Island is currently under a yellow weather warning – with an amber warning due to come into effect later this afternoon.

Gale to severe gale force winds, and a high tide at 6.14pm, are likely to cause moderate coastal overtopping.

Travel disruption is likely as well as minor structural damage in places with the risk of trees or branches falling onto roads and overhead conductors.

Heavy rain will also cause localised problems due to standing water.

Sailings today were cancelled by the Steam Packet Company yesterday - you can find information about flight cancellations HERE.
