Charity launches reverse advent calendar project
As the festive season approaches, an Island charity is encouraging goodwill with an innovative twist.
Food Bank Isle of Man is running a 'reverse advent calendar' drive from this Friday (25th) - where all are invited to give 25 gifts in the run-up to Christmas.
Organisers suggest filling a large box with one item of food or toileteries each day, before dropping it off to the charity on 20 December.
Use of the Food Bank is on the rise - director Neal Mellon says it met with 47 users in October alone.
