"I have no reason to believe it won't be finished by January", says Chris Thomas
The former infrastructure minister is confident the new Liverpool Ferry Terminal will be completed by 1 January next year.
It has become a contentious issue with its completion date pushed back multiple times, and has racked up a bill of more than £70 million.
Passengers could begin to be picked up from March, if the currently published timetable goes to plan.
