Creation of industrial relations body in progress
Those involved in the creation of a new industrial relations forum say it could help avoid future disputes between unions and government.
It's in the process of being established by a number of groups and the Policy and Reform Minister, Ray Harmer.
Representatives from Unite, Prospect and NASUWT hope the forum will allow unions to influence policy at an early stage.
But Unite's Debbie Halsall warns engagement from government must be meaningful, or the forum will lose credibility:
