Four bailed after alleged assault

No pleas have been entered

Four people have appeared at Douglas courthouse in connection with the assault of a police officer.

It's alleged the incident happened in Douglas on April 3 this year.

Michaela Pallister, 20, Matthew Darius Brown, 18, and 17-year-olds Joshua Robert Hall and Jessica Freya Dallison appeared before magistrates on Tuesday.

No pleas have been entered.

The court heard how police searched Miss Pallister's property on York Road in Douglas after smelling cannabis.

All four of the defendants were inside and went on to verbally abuse the two officers conducting the search.

Whilst Miss Pallister, Mr Brown and Miss Dallison face one charge each of obstructing a police officer, Mr Hall is accused of kicking one of the officers in the testicles.

All four have been bailed in their own recognisance to the sum of £200.

The case has been adjourned until October 11.
