Island charities urged to strengthen defences as ransomware attacks increase

Cybersecurity support offered to Island charities Island charities are being offered free software to help protect themselves against cybercrime.

Just Technology Group says it is making 500 licences for its security tool available without charge, to help voluntary organisations identify and fix vulnerabilities.

The firm warns that ransomware attacks are becoming more common, and can have severe consequences for charities holding sensitive data.

The company has recently established an office in Douglas, but says its priority is to help community organisations strengthen their digital resilience.

Charities interested in accessing the software can find more information at JTG.im.
