Truck pull along Douglas Prom
There’ll be a fundraiser along Douglas promenade this morning (21 August) in memory of former mayor Stan Cain.
Mr Cain, who died in June, was a councillor for eight years until April and previously a council employee for nearly 20 years.
From 10.30 this morning, a 12.5 ton truck will be pulled along the walkway from Summerland to the Sea Terminal, to raise funds for a defibrillator which will be placed outside Douglas town hall.
Family and friends are asking the public to dig deep with donations - and moral support!
