Gale force winds, cancelled sailings and no newspapers

Reduced supply of papers sent out tomorrow

The overnight sailing has been cancelled due to gale force winds, meaning there will be no papers distributed today (30 January).

A reduced supply will be sent out to most shops tomorrow morning.

The rest of the days sailings however are due to go ahead as planned.

There are a number of issues on the roads this morning to be aware of:

A tree is down in Baldrine, near the junction of Clay Head Road entrance, the police and Department of Infrastructure are dealing with the incident.

Police are also warning that some signage has come loose on the way into Union Mills near the Snugborough Trading Estate.

There is also debris on many of the Island's roads this morning, drivers are urged to take care.
