Gas customers told they'll have to find £677 extra for bills

Public describe increases as 'outrageous'

People across the Island are being told they'll have to find an extra £677 as a result of surging gas prices.

Yesterday Manx Gas announced a 43.9 per cent increase from the beginning of September.

The Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan has criticised Manx Gas on social media accusing them of 'hiking the prices then immediately pointing the finger to the taxpayer to pay'.

Manx Radio asked these people in Douglas whether they were concerned:
