GCSE students decide on their future

Process could take time says advisor

The Island’s GCSE students will begin making decisions about their future today, following results day yesterday.

72.6 per cent managed grades A* to C, the first time the figure has ever topped 70 per cent.

Some will be considering entering the workplace, while many will go on to sixth form to do A-levels, having achieved the necessary grades.

Paul Craine from the Department of Education and Children says that process may take a little while as students talk to their schools:
