Service held at Douglas Head memorial
A service to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the loss of 7 fishermen on the Solway Harvester has taken place on Douglas Head.
Members of the Island's fishing community, RNLI, Coastguard, Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Tynwald and Douglas Council attended.
Manx Bard Zoe Cannell read a specially written poem and a lone piper played.
Current Chief Minister Howard Quayle and the man in the position at the time of the loss Donald Gelling laid a wreath at the memorial.
