IOMPO hopes it will unite people during pandemic
Get your Manx flags out!
That's the message from the Isle of Man Post Office.
The organisation is encouraging Islanders to place a Manx flag in the window of their homes as a sign of unity during the coronavirus pandemic.
It aims to bolster morale too by remembering the Isle of Man’s centuries old motto which has stood the Island in great stead ‘Whithersoever you throw it, it will stand.’
For anyone who may not have a Manx flag, IOMPO has produced two posters using previous stamp artwork to download online and print.
The motto on the poster has been changed to reflect the Covid-19 situation to ‘whichever way this throw us, we will stand together.’
IOMPO would like to encourage those who choose to get involved to share pictures of themselves taking part on its Facebook page using #wewillstandtogether.
